Privacy policy

ScribeOps ("we") is a technical-writing agency. This site is self-hosted by us; no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services run here. Contact for anything privacy-related: info@scribeops.com.

What we collect, and why

Visit statistics. When you view a page we record the page address, the time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. We use this to understand which pages are read and, for business (non-residential) networks, which organizations show interest in our services, our legitimate interest under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) as a B2B service provider. We look up the network owner and approximate city of an IP address; we never identify or profile individual people, and residential or mobile-carrier visits stay anonymous. We honor the Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals, with either enabled, no visit is recorded at all.

Data you send us. Chat messages, quote requests and orders include what you type plus the contact details you provide (name, email, company). We use them solely to answer you and deliver the work, performance of a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b).

Cookies

We set no advertising or analytics cookies. A session cookie exists only when you log in to a customer account (strictly necessary, exempt from consent). Visit statistics are cookie-less.

Retention

Visit records and IP addresses are deleted automatically after 90 days. Order and conversation history is kept for as long as needed for delivery, warranty and bookkeeping.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export or delete data about you, or to object to the visit statistics, email info@scribeops.com and we will act within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
